A group of real estate professionals from Weichert Realtors® – The Home Team joined the recent “Walk MS” event – an annual awareness initiative that brings together a community of passionate people to connect and raise funds to change the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis.
“This is a very important and personal event for our office,” said Teresa Joyce, broker/owner of Weichert Realtors® – The Home Team. “Two members of our team, Emily Moharam and Charmaine Boyd, have each been battling MS for ten years. The money raised by Walk MS and other fundraising efforts will help drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs, and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. This is the second consecutive year that a team from Weichert Realtors® – The Home Team has joined our local Walk MS event, and we plan to continue that tradition for many years to come.”
The team raised $500 through their donation drive, but the attention that the event draws and the support that it represents to the two affected team members at Weichert Realtors® – The Home Team is equally important. Emily Moharam explains, “As an MS Warrior, I know it is important to bring as much awareness to this disease as possible. My team supports me and my struggles, not only during the MS walk, but each and every day. I’m blessed to be with a work family that understands what I’m going through and gives me their unwavering support.”
