Tinley Park, IL / May 31, 2024 – Team members from local real estate office Weichert, Realtors® – The Home Team collectively donated 22 pints of blood during a recent mobile blood drive organized in memory of a team member’s father.
Jessica Stempinski, an associate at Weichert, Realtors® – The Home Team, wanted to honor the memory of her father, Ken Stempinski, who passed away in August 2023, after being diagnosed in June 2023 with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). “My father was a firm believer in giving back,” said Jessica, “and one of the ways that he did this was by donating blood. It was important to me to honor this legacy, and I’m so grateful to the other members of my Weichert® team for their support.”
According to Cedars-Sinai “Facts About Blood Donation,” each pint of donated blood can save three lives. “I know my father would be proud that this event, planned in honor of his life, may have helped to save the lives of as many as 66 people.”
