AUBURN, Ala. / Nov. 14, 2018 — Weichert, Realtors® – Porter Properties is proud to announce Stacey Sanders has been named president of the Alabama Association of Realtors, a 15,000-plus member strong organization.
Sanders is the broker at Weichert, Realtors® – Porter Properties, an independently owned and operated Weichert® affiliate in Auburn.
“I am truly honored to serve as the Alabama Association of Realtors (AAR) 2019 President. It is a privilege to give back to an organization that has given so much to me over the years,” said Sanders. “I look forward to working closely with Realtors from all over our great State this next year. Sanders was installed as board president during the association’s annual meeting on October 14 in Montgomery, Alabama. As board president, Sanders will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the statewide association of real estate professionals.
Her theme for her year as President is “Shine Your Light.” She is committed to helping Realtors all over the State bring their best to the table as they shine their light to help others in both real estate and community service.
A graduate of the Alabama Association of Realtors’ 2004 Leadership Class, Sanders also holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and business from Central Michigan University.
Sanders brings more than two decades of real estate experience to her new leadership position. Her background also includes lobby work in Washington DC and mortgage banking. Outside of real estate her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband Shane and their four boys.
