Weichert, Realtors® – True Quality Service donates stockings to local charity to help veterans
LAKE WORTH, Fla. / Dec. 10, 2018 – Santa and his elves were recently spotted at a Lake Worth real estate agency filling Christmas stockings with holiday gifts for a very special group on Old Saint Nick’s “Nice” list this year: U.S. military veterans.
Michael Garcia, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – True Quality Service, or Santa Claus as he’s known this time of year, and his team of Weichert® elves spent a day filling Christmas stockings with toiletry items collected by the office. The handmade stockings were donated by Quilts by Anna Mae.
Garcia’s office is donating the stuffed Christmas stockings to Faith Hope Love, Inc., a Lake Worth-based charity that assists military veterans and their families.
“As a military veteran, I know first-hand the tremendous sacrifice that the men and women who proudly served in the Armed Forces made to protect this country,” said Garcia, who served in the United States Army.
Garcia added: “Donating these Christmas stockings filled with toiletries to an amazing organization like Faith Hope Love is one small way my team and I can thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice.”
The stocking stuffing follows another effort recently undertaken by Garcia’s team to help local veterans. The office collected donated toiletry items for disabled and homeless veterans in the Lake Worth area at its Nov. 10 grand opening celebration.
