Fort Smith, Ark. / Jan. 6, 2016 – WEICHERT, REALTORS® – King Realty Group in Fort Smith is proud to announce that REALTOR Cassie Elwonger was installed as the President of the Fort Smith Board of REALTORS. The local REALTORS association also named Elwonger as the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Dorothy Allen Award.
Elwonger was presented with the Dorothy Allen Award during the association’s annual awards banquet last month. She was officially named the new president during the group’s yearly installation meeting that preceded the awards banquet.
“It truly is an honor to be named president of the real estate association that I have been a part of since I became a REALTOR in 2011,” said Elwonger, who works at WEICHERT, REALTORS® – King Realty Group. “I also can’t tell you how much it means to me to receive this year’s Dorothy Allen award. I am so proud to be part of an organization that strives to improve the reputation of real estate professionals locally and is committed to giving back to the communities its members serve.”
Elwonger received the Dorothy Allen award for going above and beyond the call of duty to support the Fort Smith Board of REALTORS and its charitable causes. Her accomplishments in real estate were also previously recognized by the real estate association when she was named the Fort Smith Board’s Rookie of the Year in 2013. Elwonger’s appointment as board president follows her chairing the Fort Smith Board of REALTORS Young Professionals Network and serving on its MLS committee, which she has also chaired.

Elwonger lives in Fort Smith with her husband, Bob, and their nine year old daughter and 12 year old twin boys. She is also actively involved with several local charities and community projects, including the Parent Teacher Association at her childrens’ school.
