Johnson comes from the airline industry, where she gained valuable experience in customer service and building relationships.
She received an undergraduate degree from George Mason University and a graduate degree from Strayer University.
Johnson, who is married and has three children, is originally from Monrovia, Liberia. She now resides in Raleigh.
