BLUFFTON, S.C. / July 13, 2022 – Due to the recent rising costs of food, Bluffton Self Help, a charitable organization
that provides basic needs and financial support to the local community, sent out a plea for assistance. Real estate agent Patty Miller of Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties’ Bluffton office was there to answer the call.
Miller and Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties partnered with Rose Hill Plantation, a housing community in Bluffton, to aid the effort of re-stocking the shelves at Bluffton Self Help and feeding those in need.
Miller organized a group of children in the neighborhood, dubbed the “Rose Hill Tiny Tots,” who hosted a lemonade stand in the community. All profits from the stand were used to purchase items that Bluffton Self Help desperately needed.
Miller and the “Rose Hill Tiny Tots” used the proceeds to pick up approximately 275 pounds of food, which was subsequently dropped off at Bluffton Self Help. With this recent donation, along with previous food drives, the group’s initiatives have produced 325 total pounds of food. They plan to continue the initiative through August in hopes of feeding and protecting those in need in the Lowcountry region.
“This really goes to show that you are never too young to make a valuable impact in your community,” said Miller. “We are so proud of our Rose Hill Tiny Tots and hope to continue making a true difference for those in need.”
