HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. / December 14, 2023 – Karen Ryan, broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties, was recently honored by the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Lowcountry at its Inaugural Gala, which celebrated the group’s highly successful first year and awarded honors to the most involved members. Ryan founded the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Lowcountry earlier this year and served as president for the group that aims to empower women leaders in the local real estate community.
Ryan led the way for the group during its inaugural year, organizing and paving the way for many events, including the group’s Launch Party at the Harbourtown Yacht Club, Mastering the Mastermind Event, Women’s Wellness Summit, several book club meetings, Contracts Class, Invest in YOU! Event, Leadership Lunch and Lipstick Event, Strategic Partner and Membership Appreciation Event, and the Inaugural Gala. The group also awarded a pair of scholarships to two local students in Hilton Head.
“I’m proud to be a part of something truly special that we’re building here at the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Lowcountry,” said Ryan. “Our goal in creating this group was to empower women real estate leaders in our region by offering educational opportunities, networking tools and training. We had a very successful first year and look forward to building on this momentum heading into 2024.”
Ryan played a pivotal role in getting the group off the ground and helping empower others in the local community. Serving alongside her on the board of directors for 2023 were President Elect Christina Galbreath-Gonzalez, First Vice President Tierra Schaffer, Membership Director Allison Cobb, Event Director Roseann Tracy, Co-Treasurer Carmen Washington, Co-Treasurer Sheri Prud’homme, and Social Media Director Taylor Lomprez.
