The honor is awarded annually to a member who displays exemplary skills, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing unparalleled service to their clients.
WAOR is a valued resource for its members and the Waco community. The organization serves to build education, professional competence, public awareness, political involvement, and social activities to benefit its members and the community.

Reed first came to Central Texas in 1983 as a graduate student at Baylor University. He relocated to Oklahoma City in 1991 before returning to Waco in 1998, where he currently resides with his wife.
Reed will serve in a key leadership position as president of the WAOR in 2024. In addition to his role with WAOR, he’s been very active in the Central Texas community, serving as a board member of the Arthritis Foundation, and working with the Advocacy Center, Boy Scouts, Rotary, Masonic Lodge, and a many other professional organizations.
