SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. / April 27, 2026 — William “Billy” Cofer III of Weichert, Realtors® – Shaun & Shari Group has been named the National Rookie of the Year for 2025 by national franchisor Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. The honor is awarded annually to the Weichert® affiliated agent with the highest gross commission income who has been an agent for 18 months or less.
Cofer earned the award among rookie agents from over 200 Weichert franchised companies in operation across the country. He was recognized for his achievements at a regional Weichert awards banquet on February 28 in Myrtle Beach.
“Earning this award is very special, especially among so many talented agents across the country,” said Cofer. “I’m grateful for the support and mentorship I’ve received from my team in helping me build momentum so early in my career. I’m excited to continue growing and serving our wonderful community.”
Cofer entered the real estate industry with a background in sales and development as the former head of sales at Fetch Robotics, where he honed his skills in conflict resolution, team building, and strategic planning. His experience from his previous career, along with his emphasis on providing dedicated service through honesty, integrity, and transparency, led to Cofer becoming a highly trusted and successful agent during his first year in the industry.
Cofer is passionate about serving his community through volunteer and charitable initiatives, as well as his work as a financial coach and youth sports coach. A devoted father of three and loving husband, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, woodworking, cooking, and reading.
