CROWN POINT, Ind. / Dec. 3, 2021 – Giving back to the local Crown Point community is nothing new for Weichert, Realtors® – The Moke Agency, and this year the real estate brokerage continued its giving nature by holding a food drive to help those in need over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The company’s agents and staff members planned and organized the food drive and then served as a drop-off location to gather items. They rounded up friends, family and vendors to help support the cause, all in an effort to provide food for families in the Crown Point area that could use a little help during the holiday season.
The idea to participate in the food drive was brought about by Lucas Wright, an intern with Weichert, Realtors® – The Moke Agency and student at Crown Point High School. Wright played a pivotal role in coordinating and promoting the brokerage’s efforts in partnership with the school.
Weichert, Realtors® – The Moke Agency’s hard work brought together Thanksgiving meals for 60 local families, in addition to other food items such as peanut butter, jelly, cereal, rice, soup and snacks for them to enjoy after Thanksgiving. The food was dropped off at Crown Point High School and then donated to families in need as part of the school’s larger initiative.
