Weichert, Realtors® – Stanford & Company Hosts “Stock the Teachers’ Lounge” Drive
SAVANNAH, Ga. / Nov. 15, 2019 – A group of local realtors were recently taken to school. But not because they did something bad.
Just the opposite. They did something good.
Agents at Weichert, Realtors® – Stanford & Company recently collected Keurig machines, K-Cup pods, lots of snacks, and other items often found in a breakroom during its ‘Stock the Teachers’ Lounge’ drive.
The collected items were donated to the Georgetown Elementary and Hess K-8 schools in Savannah to show the agents’ appreciation for everything teachers at the schools do to educate kids.
“Teachers aren’t thanked enough for the tremendous effort they put forth every day in the classroom,” said Melissa Stanford, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Stanford & Company. “This is one way for our office to thank these unsung heroes.”
Stanford’s team invited their clients and area residents to stop by the Weichert® affiliate’s E. Montgomery Cross Road office a few weeks ago to support its teachers’ breakroom supply drive. And the support was overwhelming, according to Stanford.
“I never imagined people would donate as much as they did to help support our breakroom supply drive,” Stanford added. “I personally would like to thank everyone for their support and I hope break time for teachers at Georgetown Elementary and Hess K-8 is a bit more enjoyable with these donated items.”
