The 2nd Annual Pumpkin Giveaway Returns to Weichert, Realtors® – Achieve
PRIOR LAKE, Minn. / Oct. 29, 2017 — Parking on Main Avenue in Prior Lake was a bit trickier on October 13, but there weren’t many complaints.
That’s because most drivers had more important things on their minds – like finding the perfect pumpkin at the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Giveaway hosted by Weichert, Realtors® – Achieve.
“Our first pumpkin giveaway last year was a huge success, so we knew we had to do it again this year,” said Brian Burkart, the broker/owner of the Weichert® affiliate, located next to the farmers market and city hall. “I don’t think anyone, however, could have predicted the turnout we got for this year’s giveaway.”
Except maybe the steady flow of drivers and pedestrians that stopped by the Main Avenue real estate agency to pick up a free pumpkin.
“People were waiting in front of our office when we started giving away pumpkins at eight o’clock that morning,” said Burkart. “And we were completely out of pumpkins when the event ended five hours later.”
Burkart’s office purchased hundreds of pumpkins from local farmers for this year’s giveaway, but plans on doing much more next year.
“We’ll definitely be buying more pumpkins next year,” Burkart jokingly added.
