INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. / June 15, 2023 – Broker/Owner Ronda Bailey-Cooper and Associate Broker Ceceily Brickley of Weichert, Realtors® – Cooper Group Indy spent the past few months helping make affordable housing a reality for families in the Indianapolis community. The duo participated in the 2023 Women’s Build for Habitat for Humanity, a charitable program in which volunteers raise donations and build affordable houses for fellow community members.
Bailey-Cooper and Brickley were part of a team of volunteers that participated in fundraising, recruiting additional volunteers, and working on homes throughout the construction process. Bailey-Cooper and Brickley’s team raised over $6,000 this year, contributing to the program-wide total of $300,000.
The Women’s Build program started in 2014 and celebrated its 10-year anniversary this year. Over the past decade, hundreds of women have worked together as part of the program to fundraise and construct homes. Since 2014, volunteers have helped raise over $1.4 million dollars in donations and construct 12 homes for local families, with two more homes set to finish this month.
