The newest Weichert® affiliate is owned and operated by father and son Doug and Brian Magill, third and fourth generation real estate brokers whose family roots in Greater Baltimore real estate date back to 1936.

The Magills’ family lineage in the Greater Baltimore market spans over nine decades. Doug Magill’s grandfather, William E. Magill, opened Builders Realty in 1936 in the burgeoning Baltimore suburb of Hamilton, where he established a tradition of integrity and dedication to client service. Those traditions were continued by his son, Ed Magill, as he expanded the business into Baltimore County, Parkville, Carney, Cub Hill, and Perry Hall. In 1971, Doug Magill took an active leadership role in the company and extended the company’s service into Towson, Timonium, Cockeysville, and Bel Air, along with Carroll and Howard Counties.
Doug Magill merged with another broker in 1981 and eventually grew the company to 11 offices with over 550 total agents. After the company was subsequently bought out, Doug Magill established Homebuilders Realty Services, which continues to represent fine homebuilders throughout the Mid-Atlantic. In 2015, Brian Magill, who had previous experience selling new homes, came to his father with interest in getting back into real estate. The duo opened a residential sales division within their company, which has grown steadily over the last eight years. Doug and Brian have successfully carried on the family’s tradition of integrity and dedication to client service to this day and have both been recognized as top agents in the region by Baltimore Magazine. Throughout the family’s four generations in the real estate industry, they’ve completed over $6 billion in transactions.
