VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. / March 30, 2022 – Weichert, Realtors® – Inlet Properties is set to be a primary sponsor of the 10th Annual Chas Foundation Golf Classic, which will take place on June 16 in Virginia Beach. The Chas Foundation was started by Weichert, Realtors® – Inlet Properties Broker/Owner Chuck Kirkwood’s family in honor and memory of Chuck’s son, Chas, who took his own life in 2011.
The Chas Foundation was established in 2012 as a grassroots movement to significantly change the perception of people suffering from mental illness and enhance the quality of life of those individuals. The organization’s mission is to advocate for mentally ill individuals, strive for public acceptance of those dealing with a mental illness, increase access to effective treatment, save lives by working with private and public professionals, and provide support – through education – for family members dealing with their loved one’s mental illness.
The Golf Classic will take place at Heron Ridge Golf Club in Virginia Beach on June 16. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon, and an awards ceremony and dinner to conclude the event. The cost to participate in the Golf Classic is $150 per individual or $500 per foursome.
