VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. / March 30, 2022 – The Weichert yellow will be flying high on the sail of Team Rudee’s Catamaran this May as part of the Worrell 1000 Catamaran Race, a 46-year-old event that’s ticketed as one of the world’s most arduous sailing races.
Weichert, Realtors® – Inlet Properties, a real estate brokerage based in Virginia Beach, is the lead sponsor for Team Rudee, which will have the brokerage’s logo flying on its sail as they make their way from Hollywood Beach, Florida to Virginia Beach.
The 1,000-mile race consists of 15 teams from around the globe and attracts some of the world’s top sailors, including Olympic medalists, national sailing champions and American Cup winners.
The event is held over a two-week period from May 9-22 and includes stops in Florida (Jenson Beach, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach and Jacksonville Beach), Georgia (Tybee Island), South Carolina (Isle of Palms and Surfside Beach) and North Carolina (Wrightsville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Hatteras and Kill Devil Hills), before concluding in Virginia Beach, the hometown of Weichert, Realtors® – Inlet Properties.
