ROCHESTER, N.Y. / November 6, 2025 – Weichert, Realtors® – Lilac Properties is proud to announce its successful fundraising efforts in support of domestic violence awareness and community assistance initiatives. Through a combination of client engagement and local networking activity, the office raised hundreds of dollars to benefit the United We Stand Community Assistance Center.
The funds were presented by Sierra Mendes and Curt Amesbury of Weichert, Realtors® – Lilac Properties to local mortgage originator Megan Merton-Schermerhorn, who accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. This meaningful fundraiser was dedicated to the memory of Megan’s mother, Deana Schermerhorn, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend whose life was tragically taken by domestic violence in 2009.
