HUNTSVILLE, Ala. / August 15, 2022 – Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place, one of the region’s premier real estate companies, has acquired Scottsboro-based brokerage Deborah Burton Realty, LLC, with plans of carrying on the legacy of late owner Deborah Burton.
Deborah Burton was a well-known and successful real estate agent in the Scottsboro area. After her passing, her husband and daughter reached out to Brenda Elliott, broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place, for help in carrying on her legacy by keeping her real estate office open.
“There was no better way to honor my mother’s legacy than by keeping this office open and running it with the same morals and ethics she worked so hard to create,” said Deborah’s daughter, Brooke Burton. “We are excited for Brenda’s leadership and the great things this company will do to give back to our community.”
Elliott recently finalized the acquisition of the business and will open the office on August 15. Brooke Burton will serve as the office manager, as it marks Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place’s fifth location in North Alabama. The brokerage also has locations in Huntsville, Madison, Hartselle, and Cullman.
